Tao Tao 250 Rhino Trailer Hitch Fabrication
Переглядів 9 тис.6 років тому
A lengthy detailed video on how I made a trailer hitch for my Chinese ATV. My son, Alec, did the welding and it turned out nice. Special thanks to the lads at Chinariders.net...the place to go for all your Chinese ATV, scooter, motorcycle, and go cart information and assistance. This video is a demonstration of how I made a trailer hitch for my ATV. I'm not responsible for any damages, injuries...

Finally back to work on the trommel after a year long house build. I'm really psyched to get this completed and it's great to see it running under it's own power.

We've purchased these quads back in March 2017. The issues we've had are really minor. Next video I'm headed to Stanton, AZ. with the quad to find some new areas to prospect.

Bought this ATV for my son when he was 10 years old. he outgrew it and it has been sitting in the yard for a couple years. Has less than a 100 miles on it and I decided to nurse it back to life. Part 1 is dismantling and cleaan up.

Purchased two Tao Tao 250 Rhinos as Alec outgrew his 125 Coolster and I wanted a manual transmission to deal with the desert terrain. Both units were from Superior Power Sports ( Bike.cc) and cost about a grand each.

A little more progress as we elevate the drive sprocket assembly two more inches and complete the platform that will house the gas engine. Next video we will mount the engine and secure the trommel tube cap on the feed end.
Arizona Gold Prospecting (The Trommel Build Part 9)
Переглядів 1,4 тис.8 років тому
We have installed the top half of the drive system. Main sprocket has the chain wrapped between it and the drive sprocket. The drive sprocket is on the shaft with the 12 inch double pulley. The shaft is secured between two bearings. The big part of this video is where my son, Alec, installs the half ton crane on the trommel trailer.
Arizona Gold Prospecting (The Trommel Build Part 8)
Переглядів 2,4 тис.8 років тому
The second video of our last trip home. Was able to weld and cut the feeder tube. I attached the feed plate to the trommel tube opening and hung the feed tube in place to measure, cut, and weld most of the primary hopper together. Figured out the drive configuration and welded the supports in place where the bearings will go that will house the small drive sprocket and pulleys.

Cutting the steel for the receiver end of the trommel tube with our Lotos Technologies LTPDC200D plasma cutter and demonstrating it's fitting on the tube. A little welding on the slurry feed tube.
Arizona Gold Prospecting (The Trommel Build Part 6)
Переглядів 3,1 тис.8 років тому
The trommel gets it's sprocket attached and we reconfigure the wheel that keeps the tube from sliding down the frame. The tube is now stationary on the frame as it begins to actually look like a trommel. I was pretty sick filming this section but was not about to let that stop me.
Arizona Prospecting, Drywashing Feb 2016
Переглядів 1,6 тис.8 років тому
We have been so wrapped up in the trommel build, I have not panned, sluiced, or drywashed in like six months! Decided to take a day to do some light work around the property and process 5 buckets of material I had forgotten about. I used a little drywasher I had picked up a couple years ago. It works very well. I'm selling it along with a mid-sized Gold Buddy Drywasher that I've used in earlier...

Dude…first off the NY accent. Music to my ears. What part of AZ are you at? I’m in the Tucson area and about to buy my first claim. Anyway, great idea for the Bernoulli connectors. So I built a suit like yours, with 4 tubs instead of 3. The 1st and second tubs have micro filters splitting the tub basically in half. I’ve found I can run pretty much all day like that, and I remove sludge when me and my son take a lunch break. I’ll post a video of my system on my new channel. Cheers!!

I think using a reciprocating saw was really a good idea as you get a vibrating effect without using an offset weight to achieve the vibrating effect. That is, now you do not have to be reliant on rubber mounts, as opposed to using solid mounts such as springs and hinges that would account for the reciprocating motion. Good idea, good video.

I think you erred and purchased the hammer drills that didn't have the SDS function. I've had one of the HF SDS drills and used it to drill 2 inch holes in a piece of ledge to split it for removal. It worked fine and still works great years later. If you had purchased the SDS drill, instead of an inpact drill, I think you would have been happy.

Versa tube kits are way too expensive, can easily get a building installed from someone else and still save a few grand compared to versa tube . Way too expensive for a do it yourself kit. $17,900 for a 30x39 with 10ft walls. Just payed 14k installed for a 30x40x10 . all vertical and the same metal specs …

does 3 tubs really keep your water clean? I have 2 big tubs with smaller tubs to catch tailings similar to yours. I cant keep water clean what so ever.. After a bucket of running dirt, the water is too muddy to see what is going on in the riffles.. Does this really work?

    • @bobbydemar88
      @bobbydemar88 2 роки тому

It works...the tubs act like settling ponds. In theory, the more ponds in line the cleaner the water. The water, when recirculating, is going to get cloudy as soon as you start running material. Watch your sluice activity by testing your tailings looking for loss.

Mongoose. If you don't mind me suggesting this is something that will help you and speed up your process while you had it all set up and measured out just should have went through with your hammer gun and just put a little dentation at each hole all the way to the end and then move your face out the way so you can drill your holes all the way through that way it would have speed your process up and you can blow everything through and one main issue a lot of people forget is to drill all the way through your slab I don't know how thick your slab is but it gets a better anchor when it pulls up from the bottom up instead of inside the concrete I hope this was helpful and you're doing a good job keep the good work up

I notice you have anchor bolts about every 5 feet, it looks like. I had a shop installed recently where they only put anchor bolts maybe every 10 ft, and that concerns me.
